Argentine passport holders can travel to any Schengen Area member state without applying for a visa before they depart. This will change in the second half of 2025, when all Argentine travelers who wish to travel to Europe for business or leisure will have to apply online to obtain an ETIAS travel authorization. The European Travel Information and Authorization System, also known as ETIAS, was created to improve security and border control in the Schengen region. ETIAS - Travel to Europe from Argentina
ETIAS visa waivers for Argentines are valid for 3 years as long as their passport is valid. Electronically linking an approved ETIAS to the passport submitted in the application form will ensure that the visa waiver is also valid for at least 3 years. ETIAS cannot be transferred to another passport. Therefore, dual-national Argentine citizens must travel with the same passport they used to apply to ETIAS. By 2025, all Argentine citizens who travel to Europe will need this travel authorization. To travel to Schengen member countries, all Argentine citizens, including minors, will require an ETIAS.
